How to finish your presentation

How you finish is just as important as how you begin. Leave plenty of time to finish your presentation properly. You will leave a better impression with a good wrap up rather than by confusing the issue throwing in extra points.
Five minutes from the end of your presentation, start to ‘tell them what you told them’. Briefly summarize your key points. Finish by underlining your mission statement either by using a quote, a story or a graphic.
Dos
Keep calm and speak slowly. You want their maximum attention.
Invite the audience to ask questions. Tell them how long the question-and-answer period will be.
Make some powerful remark at the end of the questions. This is what your audience will leave with.
Thank the organisers and the audience.
Don’ts
Shuffle your papers and gather up your equipment as you finish speaking.
Speed up your speech to cram more information in.
Apologize for anything that went wrong during your talk.
